Introduction
This is a soft and comfortable knee support without rigid bracing elements for minor swelling (after diagnosis of the cause of the swelling e.g. ligament sprains not lasting more than 6 weeks).
The Strapping Elastic Knee Support is suitable for the 2 years recommended proprioceptive & neuromuscular stimulation through compression after successful rehabilitation from ACL rupture or reconstruction. It is Latex free, being constructed of Polyamide, Cotton and Lycra. It has been anatomically knitted with a multidirectional elastic fabric, with an open patella and silicone patella butress to control minor subluxation. This offers support and compression during the rehabilitation from acute and chronic knee injury and minor patella instability.
Indications
• Following successful rehabilitation from ACL injury or reconstruction
• During rehabilitation from Grade 1 ligament sprains
• Minor swelling where the diagnosis has been established
• Control of minor patella subluxation
Information on Ordering
Choose the right size by marking the mid point of the patella with the patient standing in the schuss position. Measure the circumference of the thigh at 15cm above this point.
