The Donjoy Surround® Air Ankle is an ankle brace with injection moulded shells that help minimise ankle rotation and inversion/eversion without restricting plantar or dorsiflexion.

Two full-length pre-inflated air chambers lined with soft foam help reduce swelling and enhance circulation after ankle injury. A soft, plush liner covers exterior of bladders to help maximise patient comfort and prevent skin irritation. Air valve at proximal end of bladder allows for simple adjustment of air when desired by using filling tube. Soft foam heel pad provides easy adjustment for proper fit. Ideal for acute ankle sprains and strains, chronic instabilities, and prophylactic use. Available in two heights, right and left.

Foot support and ankle stabilisation are provided by the AirLift integrated aircell and semi-rigid shells. The aircell, located under the foot arch, is adjustable to each patient's custom requirement using the Hand Bulb (included with the brace). When inflated, the aircell can accommodate variances in arch shapes and heights and comfortably lifts the foot arch to achieve a more natural foot position. For ease-of-use, aircell inflation can be adjusted while wearing different shoes to accomodate the differing levels of arch support that come with different makes. The semi-rigid shells are anatomically designed to the shape of the ankle for secure support and stabilisation. These shells help realign the ankle and support the patient.
