The Procare® Podous Boot is a lightweight recumbant post op boot used in nursing homes and on wards post operatively. It is commonly used if your patient is prone to dislocation of the hip or discomfort from external rotation of the hip when they fall asleep. This popular boot helps treat and prevent lower limb secondary injury such as pressure sores, ankle contracture and post operative hip adduction or external rotation. There is an adjustable toe extension that helps to prevent the toes from touching the bedding following forefoot surgery or toe surgery. The Podous Boot is constructed from a quality easy clean plastic shell with a washable poly/pile liner.
